Officer Dallas McGeary was born and raised in Michigan, both Downstate and in the Upper Peninsula. After graduating high school, he attended Suomi College and earned his Associates Degree in Applied Science and then attended Kirtland’s Regional Police Academy Class #7, graduating in November of 1998.
Dallas was then hired by the Denton Township Police Department and started working there in July of 1999. He worked as a Patrol Officer, Investigator, and then served almost 18 years as the Chief of Police. Dallas retired from Denton Township Police Department and was hired by Gerrish Township Police Department in June of 2025.
Dallas has lived in Roscommon County since 1998. He and his family enjoy spending time exploring all that our home state has to offer.
