Congratulations Karlee Erickson and Bailey Warson
At the June 5, 2020 regular ACT NOW Executive Board meeting, two recipients were selected from the applications received for the 2020 ACT NOW Scholarship Awards. Each of these young ladies will receive a $1,000 award toward their college tuition. Due to COVID-19, they did not get to receive their awards at a public presentation, however, we did not want their efforts and achievements to go unrecognized so please help us congratulate them and share this information.
Karlee Erickson is the daughter of James and Christina Erickson and will be attending Western Michigan University this fall and will major in Aviation Management and Operations.
During high school, Karlee participated in Softball (including a travel softball league with the Royals), Student Council, National Honor Society, Band, Jazz Band, Wolverine Summer Band Camp, East Shore Wind Symphony Honor Band, Higgins Lake Water Quality Testing and Western Michigan University’s Aviation Summer Camp.
Karlee also served on the Roscommon County Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council and Roscommon Rotary Interact and worked during the summer at Lakeside Private Association Dining Hall.
Bailey Warson is the daughter of Kristy Muszynski and Brandon Warson and will be attending Kirtland Community College.
Bailey was active in high school and participated in Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, Drama, Advanced Arts and with her Church. Bailey also volunteered at many of the past Shop-With-A-Cop programs and Trunk or Treat and has worked summer jobs at Andy’s and Spicer’s Boat City.
