Drug Drop Box – Collected & Turned in 50.4 Pounds

Yesterday, Gerrish Township Police Department turned in 50.4 pounds of drugs for disposal to Petoskey Department of Public Safety as part of the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council’s collection effort for safely disposing of unwanted, unused and expired medications.

Our drug drop box is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located just outside the front entrance to the police department building. We collect the drugs all year long and turn them in each Spring and Fall for proper incineration disposal.

If you have a large quantity of drugs to turn in, or large containers, please drop them off during the day to someone inside the building instead of putting them in the box.

Thank you to our community for utilizing our Drug Drop Box and making our community a safer place to live!
