Don’t Wreck the Holidays

DRIVE MERRY, BRIGHT & SOBER THIS HOLIDAY SEASON…

The holidays are a special time for every community and it is more important than ever for us to stress the importance of safe driving habits.
Before you head out to your festivities, make sure you plan a sober ride home because driving drunk should never be an option. Even one drink is one drink too many…Buzzed Driving IS Drunk Driving.

Drunk driving is not the only risk on the road. Drug-impaired driving is also an increasing problem for men and women alike. If drivers are impaired by any substance (alcohol or other drugs) they should not be behind the wheel of a vehicle. Driving while impaired is illegal. The bottom line is…If You Feel Different, You Drive Different.

According to NHTSA, 37,133 people were killed in motor vehicle crashes in 2017. 29% of those were the result of a drunk or impaired driver of which 885 people lost their lives in crashes in the month of December alone.

Plan ahead, be honest with yourself and if you plan to drink plan for a sober designated driver to take you home. If you are the designated driver, please take that role seriously, people are relying on you!

PLEASE BE SMART & SAFE THIS HOLIDAY AND DO NOT BECOME A 2019 STATISTIC.
