All food, beverages, serving items will be provided…just bring yourself and a lawn chair (some picnic tables will be available). Our own Lt. Muszynski will be doing the grilling!
Great opportunity to hear what ACT NOW and the Gerrish Police Department has done for the community over the last year and a chance to visit with community members, ACT NOW Executive Board members and Gerrish Township Police Officers!
We had a great turnout at our 24th Annual Meeting & Picnic. 72 guests attended and enjoyed the grilled burgers and hot dogs, potato salad, beans, chips, cookies and beverages provided. Following the meal, the Annual Meeting was opened and Election of the 2023-2024 ACT NOW Officers was held. All of the positions were filled by the current slate of Officers, who have all graciously agreed to serve another year on the Board. Before the meeting began, Becky Yuncker, Director of the Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center gave an update for the Center and what her Board has been busy with over the past year. She also presented a $2,000 donation check to ACT NOW on behalf of the Gerrish CERT team volunteers and Gerrish Officers that handled the traffic and route safety/security for the Higgins Lake Sunrise Run last month.
