2014 Kids Helping Kids Program

OVER 30 HIGH SCHOOL KIDS FROM BOTH ROSCOMMON AND HOUGHTON LAKE ROTARY INTERACT AND NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY ASSISTED ROSCOMMON DHS, GERRISH POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ACT-NOW WITH THE 6TH ANNUAL KIDS HELPING KIDS PROGRAM.  THIS PROGRAM STARTED IN 2009 AS A WAY TO PROVIDE ROSCOMMON COUNTY FOSTER CHILDREN WITH GIFTS AT CHRISTMAS ALONG WITH A HOLIDAY MEAL AND PROGRAM FOR THE FOSTER FAMILIES.  THESE EAGER “ELVES” SHOPPED AND WRAPPED GIFTS FOR 57 CHILDREN AND THEN ASSISTED SANTA ON THE NIGHT OF THE PROGRAM WITH HANDING OUT ALL THE GIFTS.  THEY ALSO ASSISTED IN SERVING A FAMILY STYLE DINNER TO THE FAMILIES.  THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN MAKING THIS EVENT A HUGE SUCCESS!!
