GERRISH TOWNSHIP FIRE/EMS

UNIT 220

Unit 220 is a combination Pumper and Rescue vehicle.  It is built on a 1996 HME chassis with a four person cab.  This fire apparatus was designed and built locally by CSI Emergency Apparatus.  This is a much narrower vehicle than our main pumper, Unit 221.  It was designed to travel drives and entries that are extremely narrow such as many of the driveways in the Township.

This unit has a 1,250 gallon per minute Waterous Fire Pump and a 500 gallon water tank aboard.  In addition to both Class A and B foams, this unit is also equipped with Holmatro Hydraulic Extrication equipment used with some Automobile accidents.  It also has air bags for heavy lifting.  This truck carries a large selection of rescue tools from saws to pry bars.

We also rely on this unit for transport and housing our basic ice and water rescue equipment.

The cost of this unit was approximately $209,000 and is due to be replaced in 2016.
