Season are under way again.

Since it's inception, ACT-NOW and the Gerrish Township Police

The 2007 "Shop with a Cop" program for the Holiday Season is well underway and this past weekend at the Michigan Firemen's Memorial provided the site for another Fundraising project.  We have to pay tribute to Bob Edwards and Time Emergency Equipment for dreaming up and funding the entire project.

Bob donated "Smile Bears" to reward donations of $3.00 or more at the site. He was also the person that dreamed up the project.  Bob, we thank you for your talents and commitment to our group. The bears were personalized to ACT-NOW and the Gerrish Township Police Department by ACT-NOW Secretary, Julie Hill. The fundraiser was a successful project and netted the group over $550.00.

The below booth was staffed by Officer Pam Mckenna, ACT-NOW Chair person Mary Link, ACT-NOW Members Bob Link, John Klein and Sgt. Greg Patchin throughout the day. ACT-NOW GAP 2 Executive Board member Ginny Trombley and Roscommon Middle School student Trace Hill also worked on the project to assemble the tags for the Smile bears.

Below are photos of this fundraiser;

Once again this year, the Gerrish Township Police Department in partnership with ACT-NOW (Advisory Community Team-Neighbors on Watch), local businesses as well as private donors and Community members are planning the 2007 Christmas project.

Please become a part of the partnership and help today.  ACT-NOW is always seeking new members and guests, so come and be part of something very satisfying.

Donations for this program and our planned assistance with utilities etc. are accepted all year at the Gerrish Township Police Department or by contacting an ACT-NOW representative.

If you recognize any of the people in the above photographs, please stop them and thank them for their tireless efforts and commitment to our Community.
